A Message from Aliyah Boston
St. Thomas raised me. It shaped my values, my faith, my work ethic — and the way I see people. No matter where basketball takes me, home has always been in my heart.
I’ve also been embraced by people far beyond the Virgin Islands — in South Carolina, Indiana, and Boston — and I carry real gratitude for every community that has supported me.
I believe that when we’re blessed, we’re called to be a blessing — and that to whom much is given, much is required. That’s why, through the Aliyah Boston Foundation, I’m committed to building something lasting for St. Thomas.
Today, we’re launching a goal that’s bold, urgent, and deeply personal: raising $350,000 to bring a Dignity Bus home to St. Thomas — a safe, dignified place where our unhoused neighbors can sleep, shower, wash their clothes, and share a warm meal.
I’ve already donated $100,000 to the Foundation — and I’m dedicating that entire amount to this effort. Now I’m inviting you to join me.”

What We’re Bringing Home:
A Safe Place to Rest—and to Breathe
This will be more than a bus. It will be a place where people can be seen, cared for, and supported with dignity — wherever they are on the island.
The Grace on Wheels VI Dignity Bus will provide:
Private sleep pods — a safe, secure place to rest for the night
Hot showers — basic dignity and health, and a fresh start to the day
On-board laundry — so guests have clean clothes, not just survival
A meal-prep area — to prepare and share warm food
Trained, compassionate care — overnight support from people who see neighbors, not numbers
A pathway to work — guests can help clean and maintain the bus, building skills toward jobs in St. Thomas’s hotels and resorts
This is not a one-time giveaway. It’s mobile infrastructure that meets people where they are — so support is there tonight, next month, and years from now.

St. Thomas is strong, loving, and resilient. But too many people are living without stable shelter, without consistent access to services, and without a safe place to regroup. This project brings critical support under one roof — a roof that can drive right to them — so people don’t have to navigate survival alone.

The Goal: $350,000
Our fundraising target of $350,000 will purchase, outfit, and transport one Dignity Bus from Florida to St. Thomas, and prepare it to serve the community safely and effectively.
Aliyah’s $100,000 founding gift already puts us a third of the way there — with $250,000 left to raise. Every gift moves us closer.
